Therefore, while laying the foundation of Team CA we thought of constituting an inspiring and credible Advisory Board. We at CA work under the close supervision & guidance of our Advisory Board.

Mr. Nawshir Mirza,


Mr. Mirza is a  Fellow of the  Institute of  Chartered  Accountants of India. He joined Ernst & Young’s predecessor firm in India in 1967 as a trainee accountant and was with them till his retirement in April 2003, except for a brief stint in 1973-1974 as factory accountant for a steel rolling mill of the Tata group.

During his career with Ernst & Young, Mr. Nawshir held various positions including those of audit partner (1974 – 2003), Director of Client EDP Services (1984-86), National Director of Financial Services (1995 - 2000), National Director of Audit & Accounting Services (1993 – 2003) and Managing Partner, Western India (1989 – 2002). He was in the Calcutta office till 1988, when he moved to the Mumbai office.

Mr. Mirza has contributed to the accounting profession, being a speaker or the chair at many professional conferences in India & abroad. He has been involved in the authoring of a number of professional publications of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was President of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Calcutta and President of the Indo - American Chamber of Commerce, Western India. He was, for many years, a member of the governing committee of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry and was co-chair of the Indo-Irish Business Group. He was also deputy chairman of the British Business Group.

In 2003 Mr. Mirza decided to devote more time to philanthropic causes and to his own interests and opted to retire from the E&Y firm.

He is now actively involved with Childline, an all-India NGO for abused & distressed children. He is also Honorary Treasurer of the Indian Red Cross, Maharashtra and a trustee of the Narielvala Fire Temple.

Mr. Mirza is an independent director on the boards of Tata Industries Ltd., Esab India Ltd., Mphasis BFL Ltd. and the joint venture supermarket chain of Jardine Matheson and the RPG group. He represents the Jardine Matheson group in India. Mr. Nawshir is chairman of some of the audit committees of the companies on whose boards he sits.







Mr. Sandip Somany

Mr. Somany is Joint Managing Director of Hindustan Sanitaryware & Industries Ltd., which is a large scale professionally managed family business concern engaged in the manufacturing of lifestyle building materials under the umbrella of nationally recognized brand of "Hindware".

Mr. Somany is an active member of the Young President Organization (YPO) and Delhi Achievers Round Table (DART). He has significantly contributed in the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry for Americans and also as Co-Chairman for Haryana Committee. Presently he is the Co-Chairman of Economic Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the Managing Committee of ASSOCHAM as an invitee.

Mr. Somany comes from one of the respected business families of North India and therefore brings with him a fresh perspective on how family owned businesses are evolving in India and the contribution of the younger generation in business families towards this evolution.




Mr. Saurabh Srivastava


Mr. Srivastava is one of India’s leading IT entrepreneurs, Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists and chairs or sits on the board of several companies. He founded one of India’s most trendsetting IT companies, IIS Infotech (now called Xansa). Xansa plc. is a US $ 700 mill IT company listed on the LSE. Mr. Srivastava Chairs Infinity, India’s leading seed stage VC fund as also the Indian Venture Capital Association and sits on the boards of the Indian government’s National and several State Venture Capital Funds. He is a member of the Prime Minister’s Working Group on “Fostering Innovation and Sustaining Competitiveness” and chairs the Ministry of IT’s Working Group on Software Export. He also chairs the Asia Pacific Venture Capital Association, the apex body for VC Associations of all countries in the APAC region.

Mr. Srivastava is a co founder and Past Chairman of NASSCOM, the Indian software industry association, President of TiE Delhi and on the global board of TiE, the world’s largest organisation devoted to Entrepreneurship. He is on the Advisory Board of the Imperial College, Business School London, an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at IIT, Mumbai, holds a Masters Degree from Harvard University , USA, and a Bachelors in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, which has conferred on him the “Distinguished Alumnus” award. The University of Wolverhampton, UK has conferred on him an honorary Doctorate in Technology.



Mr. Shantanu Prakash


Mr. Prakash founded Educomp Solutions Limited, India’s first school centric education Solutions Company in 1995, which is now listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, a few years after acquiring an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

His vision has been to transform the teaching-learning process through the use of technology. Educomp has grown to be the largest education technology company in India.

Educomp works with over 6200 schools and 3.6 million students across India, US and Singapore. Educomp was conferred the "CNBC-ICICI Bank Emerging India Award" as the "Company of the year 2005, in the ICE and ITeS category.”. It was ranked 346 in the BT 500 list of the most valuable private companies in India in November 2006, ranked 319 by ET 500 March 2007 issue. Educomp was chosen as the “FUTURE TITAN”; one of the 10 hottest companies in India by Outlook Business Magazine in November 2006.

He is the founder and Managing Trustee of the Learning Leadership Foundation (LLF) an organization dedicated to bringing best practices in education to under-resourced schools. He is also chairman of the board and co-founder of Lakshya Digital Pvt Limited a pioneering game development studio based out of New Delhi, India along with

Mr. Prakash is a charter member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) an organization that connects entrepreneurs. He is a frequent speaker in mentoring and business workshops for entrepreneurs.
